Weber Street, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA'95202 <br /> Subject: Letter Addendum to Workplan for Subsurface Investigation at 203 South Lincoln <br /> Street, Manteca,,California <br /> Dear Ms. Meays: <br /> Smith Technology Corporation (acquired by ATC Associates) has prepared this letter addendum <br /> to the Smith Technology Workplan for Subsurface Investigation, dated October 3, 1997 for the <br /> above referenced site{Figure 1). The purpose of this letter workplan is to identify the proposed <br /> locations of the monitoring wells that will be installed on site. Drilling is tentatively scheduled for <br /> November 12, 1997. The proposed monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2. Smith <br /> Technology has not yet received the analytical results from soil samples and grab groundwater <br /> samples collected October 29, 1997, but field observations indicate that petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> are not present in soil or groundwater beneath the site. If analytical results confirm this, Smith <br /> Technology will request the number of proposed wells at the site be reduced or eliminated <br /> altogether. The permit application for this scope of work and associated fees (check no. 1228) <br /> are attached. All work will be completed in accordance with Smith Technology Workplan for <br /> Subsurface Investigation, dated October 3, 1997. <br /> Installation of the monitoring wells has been scheduled for November 12, 1997.
