facsimile communication provides written confirmation of staffs verbal
request for additional analyses, and reflects our agreement that
present needs can be served by performing further characterization of
the soil stockpile. As we discussed, then, please add USEPA Method
8080 and 8010 to analyses for the stockpile. Staff will follow up this
facsimile with a letter issued under authority of the California Water
Code. The results of the stockpile analyses will help in decidng
whether to add Methods 8080 and 8270 analyses to groundwater
characterization.
As I also pointed out, analysis via USEPA Method 8260 for MtBE will
be required before the investigation is complete. This point was
discussed in letter and phone conversations during development and
review of the workplan for the present investigation.
Please inform staff as soon as the analytical results are obtained. I
can be reached at (916)-255-3119.
