The proposed development project includes:
1. Phase I winery and tasting room development which includes 2,800 square foot tasting room
and commercial kitchen. 8,000 square foot production warehouse including a barrel storage
room, refrigerated case storage, workspace, lab, office and storage. Two covered 2,000
square foot outdoor seating areas and 1,500 square foot covered crush pad.
2. The OWTS usage for the existing septic systems which result in an average daily flow of
416.10 gallons of wastewater per day from the following activities:
1. Wastewater from 5 employees daily.
2. Wastewater from 15 customers daily.
3. Wastewater from 150 special events customers 5 days per year.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings.
1. The SSNL Study supports the suitability for OWTS usage with the following conditions:
a. Percolation tests conducted at the site percolates at the rate of 125 minutes per inch. EHD
require an engineer design septic system when percolation rate exceed 120 minutes per
inches.
b. A Registered Civil Engineer shall submit complete engineering design plan to EHD for
approval prior to issuance of building permit. Fee will be based on the current fee schedule
at time of payment.
Any deviation to project development or OWTS usage other than mentioned above shall require new
Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study.
1868 E.
