08/21/97 THU 09:07 FAX 909 335 6120 SECOR REDLANDS 2003
Groundwater samples from the four wells purged were submitted to Del Mar Analytical to
be analyzed for volatile fuel hydrocarbons(Wlis), reported as gasoline, and extractable fuel
hydrocarbons (EFHs), reported as diesel, by EPA Test Method 8015 (Modified), benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) by EPA
Test Method 8020 and volatile organic compounds(VOCs)by EPA Test Method 8240. The
laboratory data sheets are attached to this report as Appendix C.
Summary of Field Results
June 24, 1997
Groundwater depths in the four wells purged and sampled ranged from 8.25 to 9.50 feet
below top of well casing. The data collected indicated a decline in groundwater depths of
approximately 0.2 feet from those obtained by SECOR in May 1997. A summary of the data
obtained is presented in Table 1.
Using the data obtained, the groundwater gradient beneath the facility was determined to
be approximately 0.004 feet per foot, or roughly 20.1 feet per mile. The groundwater flow
direction was to the northwest. Figure 1 is a contour map for the groundwater surface
beneath the property using the June 24, 1997, data.
July 9, 1997
Groundwater depths in the three wells purged and sampled ranged from 8.36 to 9.61 feet
below top of well casing. The data collected indicated a decline in groundwater depths of
approximately 0.1 foot from those obtained by SECOR in June 1997. A summary of the data
obtained is presented in Table 1.
Using the data obtained, the groundwater gradient beneath the facility was determined to
be approximately 0.005 feet per, foot, or roughly 23.9 feet per mile. The groundwater flow
direction was to the west. Figure 2 is a contour map for the groundwater surface beneath
the property using the July 9, 1997, data.
Summary of Analytical Results
June 24, 1997
Except for ethylbenzene at 5.7 micrograms per Liter (µg/L) in MW-4, dissolved phase
petroleum hydrocarbons, BTEX, MTBE and VOC s were not reported by the laboratory
above MDU in the groundwater samples collected from the four monitoring wells purged
and sampled. A summary of the analytical results obtained is presented in Table 1 and
Table 2.
JN 40007-1301
TRACY.Rrr 2
