Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Evaluation-Update-2 Page 6 of 18
Great Pacific Nut—Nut Processing Facility Expansion
3501 Lehman Road, Tracy, California
September 6, 2019 CTE Job#25-0710G
The proposed new warehouse building is expected to include a bathroom at the south end
and French Drain at the southeast end. Wastewater from the bathroom is indicated to
outlet to a leach field located approximately 50 to 65 feet south of the bathroom (north of
the existing house). Based on discussions with the owner, the warehouse will be used
mostly to store nuts and will require a maximum of 12 employees. Existing ground in the
vicinity of the proposed leach field and French drain system is relatively level with
elevation ranging from 83 to 85 feet above msl. Information included within this report
is provided for use in the design of the proposed leach field and French drain system. An
"Exploration Map", attached as Figure 2, shows the project configuration as well as
percolation test and groundwater boring locations.
3.0 SEPTIC PERMITS AND PERFORMANCE
Adjacent properties surrounding the subject site are currently in use for agricultural
production. Research of existing septic permits for the properties adjacent to the subject
site indicates replacement installations have occurred at APN: 255-02-062 in 1997, APN:
255-02-058 in 2015, and, APN: 255-02-044 in 1994. The system at APN: 255-02-046
was permitted in 1981 with no changes noted since that time. Our search of permits
available online (https://www.sjgov.org/department/envhealth/public-records) indicates
the existing home on the subject site (3501 Lehman Road) has no record of a septic or
well permit and is currently vacant.
4.0 FIELD INVESTIGATION
A preliminary field investigation, conducted on March 22, 2019, included site
reconnaissance, mapping of surficial site deposits, and the excavation of three percolation
test holes (designated "P-IV, P-2 and P-3 in this report). Test hole "P-IV was drilled
to a depth of 36 inches begs in the vicinity of the proposed leach field and test holes "P-
2" and"P-3" were drilled to 10.0 ft begs in the vicinity of the proposed French drain.
SACRAMENTO • FREMONT • MODESTO
INSPECTION&TESTING•GEOTECHNICAL•ENVIRONMENTAL-CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
