MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br /> UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND PORT OF STOCKTON <br /> STOCKTON DEEP WATER CHANNEL AND TURNING BASIN MAINTENANCE DREDGING PROJECT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -2- <br /> SEDIMENTATION POND DISCHARGE MONITORING <br /> Initial samples shall be collected from the sedimentation pond at least two weeks <br /> prior to the anticipated discharge from the sedimentation pond. Subsequent samples <br /> shall be collected from the overflow weir from the sedimentation pond and analyzed <br /> according to the following schedule: <br /> Constituent/ Sampling Minimum <br /> Analysis Units Frequency Detection Limit (mg/1 ) <br /> Flow MGD Daily <br /> pH pH units Daily <br /> Suspended Solids mg/l Daily <br /> Electrical Conductivity Nmhos/cm Daily <br /> Turbidity NTUs Daily <br /> Tributyl Tin mg/l Biweekly' 0.00002 <br /> Silver' mg/l Biweekly' 0.0001 <br /> Arsenic' mg/l Biweekly' 0.001 <br /> Cadmium' mg/1 Biweekly' 0.0005 <br /> Chromium' mg/1 Biweekly' 0.001 <br /> Copper' mg/l Biweekly' 0.001 <br /> Mercurymg/l Biweekly' 0.0002 <br /> Nickel mg/l Biweekly' 0.005 <br /> Lead' mg/l Biweekly' 0.002 <br /> Zinc mg/l Biweekly' 0.002 <br /> ' Every two weeks. <br /> ' Total and dissolved concentrations shall be determined. <br /> RETURN FLOW SITE RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> Grab samples shall be taken at five feet below the surface of the water and ten feet <br /> from the channel bottom. The two grab samples from each station shall be composited <br /> together in equal volumes resulting in one sample from each station for analysis. <br /> Water samples shall be taken from the following stations: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-3 Upstream of the discharge location undisturbed by <br /> the discharge of the return water from the <br /> sedimentation pond(s) . <br /> R-4 300 feet downstream of the discharge point. <br />
