The work will be conducted in <br /> accordance with the June 12, 2009,Additional Subsurface Investigation Report, which was approved <br /> by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) in correspondence dated July 8, <br /> 2009. The proposed monitoring well (MW5)will be installed to investigate the downgradient extent <br /> of groundwater contamination beneath the site. The well will be installed using 8-inch diameter <br /> hollow stem augers and will be constructed with 2-inch diameter PVC casing. The well will be <br /> drilled to a depth of 67 feet below the ground surface (bgs). The well will be installed by V&W <br /> Drilling, Inc. (C57-720904) under the supervision of a Ground Zero geologist. The location of the <br /> proposed well can be seen on the site plan provided as Figure 2. Well construction details are <br /> provided on Figure 3. <br /> Fieldwork has been scheduled for July 30,2009. We apologize for the short notice on the permit request <br /> but we would like to request that our application be expedited so we do not have to reschedule drilling <br /> activities. <br /> You will be provided with at least 48-hours notice prior to conducting fieldwork.
