Work Plan for Phase II ESA September 11, 2014 <br /> Pape Properties, Inc. 10842 S Harlan Rd, French Camp, CA <br /> 1.8 Equipment Decontamination <br /> • Prior to arrival on the site and between sample locations,the probes sections will be <br /> decontaminated by washing with a detergent (alconox/liquinox) and potable water solution <br /> with distilled water rinse. <br /> • The PID will be calibrated prior to sampling using a span gas of known concentration. <br /> 1.9 Sample Identification and Collection <br /> All samples will be labeled with the following information: <br /> • Project name <br /> • Sampler's Initials <br /> • Soil boring number <br /> • Depth of sample <br /> • Date and time sample was collected <br /> • Project number <br /> • Water samples will be collected in new, clean VOAs provided by the laboratory. <br /> • All containerized samples will be placed in an ice chest with ice to provide refrigeration to 42 C <br /> during storage and transport. <br /> 1.10 Chain-of-Custody Procedures <br /> The following Chain-of-Custody(COC) procedures will be executed: <br /> • The samples will be shipped from the project site to the laboratory with a completed COC form <br /> provided by the laboratory. <br /> • When transferring custody,the individuals relinquishing and receiving will sign and date the COC <br /> form. <br /> • Laboratory personnel will be responsible for the care and custody of samples from the time they <br /> are received until the sample is exhausted or returned to the client. <br /> • Samples received by the laboratory will be retained until after analysis and quality assurance <br /> checks are completed. <br /> • All identifying data sheets and laboratory records will be retained in client files as part of the <br /> permanent site record. <br /> Reporting of Results <br /> 1.11 Reporting <br /> Caledonia will prepare a report containing a brief summary of the field work conducted, the analytical <br /> results, a site map showing the locations of the borings, soil boring logs, and our findings, opinions, and <br /> conclusions.
