Hunter Street APN: 139-053-14
Stockton, CA. 95202 SWRCB-CUF#: 018305
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) has reviewed
Report— Monitoring Well Installation and First Quarterly Ground Water Sampling
dated June 2005 as submitted by your consultant URS and has the following
comments.
This report covers the installation of four (4) onsite monitoring wells as directed
by SJCEHD and the ground water sample data from these wells. Elevated levels
of Tetrachloroethene (PCE) were detected in all of the monitoring well ground
water samples. Other Halogenated solvents were also detected. These
Halogenated solvents were not present in the UST discovered at this site.
SJCEHD will not oversee the investigation and remediation of the this `non-
petroleum UST release.
As noted in SJCEHD's November 2, 2004 correspondence, if ground water
contamination was detected in the monitoring wells from a `non-petroleum'
constituent, SJCEHD would refer the oversight of the investigation and
remediation to the Central Valley Region Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB).
This is your official notice that SJCEHD is no longer your 'lead agency' for the
site investigation and is removing the site from the Local Oversight Program.
Please refer any questions regarding the investigation, including ground water
monitoring well sampling and reporting requirements, to Mr. James Barton, at
(916) 464-4615.
SJCEHD thanks you for all of your cooperation and investigative efforts since
Unifirst started this investigation.
