unifirst schedule Page 1 of 1
Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Amy Terrell [aterrell@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2007 5:42 PM
To: saquilino@unifirst.com
Cc: William Pipes; gbibler@goodwinprocter.com; tcosgrave@harvardprojects.com; Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: unifirst schedule
Mr.Aquilino,
I have received the 13 August 2007 letter"Revisions to the Additional Groundwater Investigation Work Plan,Unifirst
Facility,Stockton,California"prepared by Mr.William Pipes of Geomatrix Consultants. The letter proposes a revised
schedule to the Additional Groundwater Investigation Work Plan dated 15 April 2007. The revised schedule is a result of an
evolving site investigation. The results of groundwater sampling and cone penetrometer testing shows that delineation could
most efficiently be conducted by expanding the groundwater sampling off-site and including soil vapor sampling on-site.
The expanded investigation necessitates adjusting the initial timetables to accommodate the additional data collection and
analysis.
Regional Water Quality Control Board staff commend UniFirst for recognizing the value of a comprehensive delineation
early in the investigation. This inevitably saves money in the long run. Therefore,Regional Water Board staff concur with
the revised schedule. The revised schedule proposes that the monitoring wells could be installed by about 15 November
2007,and a groundwater investigation report could be completed by 31 December 2007.
Thank you for the notice, and feel free to contact me if any other major variations of the work plan are necessary.
Amy Terrell
Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
11020 Sun Center Drive Suite 200
Rancho Cordova,CA 95670-6114
(916)464-4680
9/28/2007
