The information you have given me will help with the project
management of the site.
As per our conversation I also wanted to request an unofficial extension until January 14th,
2005 to submit all three of the documents requested in the NOV dated September 9t", 2004.
Morada Produce and I are aware that this extension will have no impact if the RWQCB does
have to move ahead with ACL's, but due to the timelines we cannot reasonably meet the
deadlines due to our late start.
As we have only come into the project at the end of October we are now starting to achieve
traction working on different facets of the project. Enclosed is the first of three items for
you, Morada Produce Company's "Notice of Non-Applicability." We believe this is the
appropriate form since Morada Produce uses all their water for irrigation on 150 acres of
walnuts at the site (item 3A on the NONA).
While at the site today, I have also observed the completed installation of three meters-
exceeding the two previously requested by RWQCB- and inspected the hour meter on the
irrigation pump (with an accompanying production chart from the well supplier) to give us
volume flow on a fourth source. These installations were correlated with the supplier's
specifications sheets. I also documented the installations with pictures that I took and will
provide as part of the technical report. I will start the technical report detailing the meter
installation of the 2nd item on the deliverables list and hope to have this to you prior to
Christmas. The third item, the Operations and Maintenance Plan, will be a joint effort that
we hope to complete early in the New Year.
LODI • SACRAMENTO • MODESTO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way•Lodi,California 95240 •209.367.3701 •FAX 209.369.4228 •ww.noanderson.corn
