It is also possible that the reservoir can be located outside <br /> the sump, via the connecting tube, at the discretion of the owner or installer. The <br /> only requirement is that the reservoir must be located above the level of the pipe. <br /> This is necessary to assure the level of the brine in the reservoir moves (up or <br /> down) should a leak occur in either the primary or containment pipe. <br /> Figure 1 B <br /> Another identified option for an in-sump reservoir is shown in Figure 1 C.
