ARTICLE III. CLASSIFICATION AND TREATMENT OF CLAIMS AND INTERESTS A. Introduction The Plan places all Claims and Interests,except Unclassified Claims provided for in Article II,in the Classes listed below. A Claim or Interest is placed in a particular Class only to the extent that it falls within the description of that Class, and is classified in other Classes to the extent that any portion thereof falls within the description of other Classes. B. Summary of Classes _ Class Impaired/Unimpaired;Entitlement to Vote General Classes Class 1 -Other Priority Claims(all Debtors) Unimpaired -Deemed to have accepted the Plan and not entitled to vote Classes 2A,2B,2C,etc. -Secured Claims(all Debtors,but Unimpaired -Deemed to have acceptedthe Plan and not excluding Claims in Class 7(13%Discount Debenture entitled to vote Claims) and Class 16(AmerUS Life Secured Claim)) Class 3 - Intercompany Claims(all Debtors) Impaired-Deemed to have rejected the Plan and not enti- tled to vote Class 4-Convenience Claims(all Debtors) It is anticipated that aggregate Convenience Claims will not exceed$250,000,in which case Class 4 will be unimpaired. In the event that aggregate Convenience Claims were to exceed$250,000,Class 4 would be impaired. Therefore, the Debtors ir—nd to solicit the votes of holders of Class 4 Claims.
