From: Kevin Evans <br /> Sent: Friday, August 30, 2019 11:16 AM <br /> To: Bryan Toledo <br /> Cc: akintayo.fayehun@stocktonca.gov; Soua Her <br /> Subject: Non Hazardous, Unauthorized Water Discharge Notification <br /> Attachments: IDDE 082919.jpg; Plant Layout.jpg <br /> Bryan, <br /> Yesterday, 8/29/19 approximately 10:15 AM, our cooling water return pump failed. <br /> The return reservoir tank became over filled and spilled into storm drain A(see attached plant layout). <br /> The inlet water pump from the cooling tower was immediately turned off. <br /> We estimate approximately 3-5 min went by and approximate 5,000 gallons of processing water was <br /> discharged into the storm drain. I tested the discharge water with pH-indicator strip and it resulted in <br /> pH of 7-8, neutral. As you can see in the photo, the water discharged is clear, similar to city water going <br /> into the cooling tower. <br /> man, I <br /> As discussed,we were visited by a City Inspector,Akin Fayehun (Environmental Control Officer, Storm <br /> Water Division). The main storm drain connection, MS4 at the street was sealed under his <br /> direction.
