This is a disposal of <br /> hazardous waste at an unauthorized point per CA H&SC 25189.5 A spill control equipment waddle <br /> was deployed around the boat to absorb the spilled red dye diesel. Some of the cleaned up red dye <br /> diesel and contaminated waddle has been placed into a five gallon bucket. The Port Captain, Duke <br /> MacGill informed me that the leak from a broken fuel line within the vessel has been stopped. A <br /> replacement part has been ordered to replace the leaking portion of the line. The red dye diesel only <br /> escaped the vessel when the bile pump was turned on. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTIONS/ORDER: <br /> Continue cleaning up the spilled fuel and manage it properly per CA Title 22 Hazardous Waste <br /> Regulations.
