If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call or email Stacy or
me.
Underground Storage Tanks
• Secondary containment testing on the product piping, vent piping, and vapor recovery piping.
• 6-month secondary containment testing is due for the sump repairs (as of this month) but you may want to
include that testing with the above-required product/vent/vapor recovery piping Secondary Containment testing.
Then the whole system won't be due for testing for 3 more years.
Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment of Aboveground Used Oil Tank
The paperwork provided by your engineer discusses the hazardous waste tank assessment requirements but calls them
aboveground tank requirements. Those are two different programs with two separate requirements. The used oil
hazardous waste tank still needs the hazardous waste tank assessment completed. We have the seismic portion of the
assessment, provided by your engineer, but the rest of the assessment is missing.
Stacy created the attached"New Tank Assessment Checklist"to help identify what we still need for this assessment to be
considered complete. The items we already have are marked with a blue box.The items still needed are highlighted in
yellow. I have also attached the referenced regulations to help your engineer understand what we are asking for.
Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act-SPCC Plan
You need to keep a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan onsite for all of your oil tanks. You can
complete a Tier I plan (attached) and keep it onsite to fulfill this requirement.
Please contact Stacy Rivera or me with any questions. Thank you for your patience.
Kasey
1
LJ
NewTankAssessme RegulationsforNew
nts West Valley...
