Interim Remediation and Additional Site Assessment Work Plan
THATER PROPERTY(former TUCKER CONSTRUCTION)
336 East Locust Street, Lodi, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with a letter from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB) dated 09 March 2006 (see Appendix A), Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. has
prepared this Interim Remediation Work Plan for the installation of one soil vapor extraction(SVE)
well.Following the well installation,AGE will perform an SVE pilot test and ground water aquifer
extraction (pump) test to determine feasibility and design parameters for soil and ground water
remediation. Additionally, AGE recommends additional site assessment, prior to SVE well
installation, to delineate the lateral and vertical extents of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground
water with the advancement of three exploratory soil borings.
The site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site, including monitoring
well locations and proposed SVE well and soil boring locations, is illustrated on Figure 2. Site
background information is provided in Appendix B.
2.0. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
Based on data collected during ground water monitoring events conducted by AGE between
April 2005 and the present, first observed ground water is approximately 48 feet to 51 feet below
surface grade (bsg). Ground water flow directions and gradients measured at the site have been
highly variable due to an apparent mounding of the ground water table at MW-1, though ground
water flow direction south of MW-1 is consistently toward the south-southwest.Calculated hydraulic
gradients at the site have ranged from 0.004 foot per foot(ft/ft)to 0.07 ft/ft.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed scope of work will consist of the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work preparations;
• Boring advancement and soil sample collection;
• Installation and development of a soil vapor extraction well;
• Performance of a SVE pilot test;
• Ground water aquifer extraction(pump)testing of well MW-1; and
• Preparation of a report of findings.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
