There is insufficient information for EHD to require any further
investigation of the shallow soil that was sampled and found to have 11 mg/kg of
hydrocarbons in it.
Former gasoline stations that may have contamination from past operations are
normally investigated as environmental assessments with proposed work plans
prepared by environmental consultants and approved by EHD. This is not what
occurred at the above referenced site. This letter is not to be considered a
determination by EHD that the former gasoline station has been properly
investigated and requires no further investigation.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV
