MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California <br /> APNs 246-14-002 and -003 <br /> To Whom it May Concern: <br /> Tetra Tech, Inc. is performing a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment at the subject property(the <br /> Property) on behalf of a potential purchaser of the Property. The planned soil and groundwater <br /> sampling is defensive in nature and is intended to assess whether documented crude oil impact on <br /> the adjacent"TAOC Tracy Gravel Pits" release site has migrated beneath the Property. There has <br /> been no hazardous materials release on the Property to our knowledge. <br /> The proposed scope of work is discussed below. Figure 1 shows the location of the Property and <br /> Figure 2 shows the proposed soil boring locations. <br /> Scope of Work <br /> A total of six soil borings are proposed to be completed in the western portion of the Property to <br /> address the potential for soil and groundwater to have been impacted from the adjacent crude oil <br /> release site. Three of the borings will be completed to groundwater to collect grab-groundwater <br /> samples for laboratory analysis. <br /> Two of the three borings proposed to extend to groundwater are located along the western Property <br /> boundary, closest to the adjacent crude oil release site, to assess whether groundwater may be <br /> impacted as a result of groundwater migrating beneath the Property from that site. A grab- <br /> groundwater sample collected from sample location GMX-26 in 2009(see Figure 2)contained TPH, <br /> and therefore one sample is proposed close to that sample location. The third groundwater sample <br /> location is located farther east, near the center of the 2295 S. MacArthur Drive parcel, to assess <br /> groundwater conditions farther away from the adjacent release site. <br /> Each of the three groundwater borings will be continuously logged. It is expected that groundwater <br /> will be encountered at approximately 50 feet in depth. The three grab-groundwater samples will be <br /> analyzed for TPH and volatile organic compounds(VOCs) including naphthalene. No soil samples <br /> will be analyzed.
