EXHIBIT D <br /> FENCE SPECIFICATIONS <br /> GORDON RESEARCH COMPANY <br /> 1 . The fence shall be constructed with standard galvanized posts, rails and chain <br /> link fabric. <br /> a. Posts shall be placed no more than ten feet apart. <br /> b. All materials shall be galvanized. <br /> c. Existing wooden fences of adequate integrity maybe utilized rather than <br /> construct new fence. <br /> 2. The fence shall be at least six feet in height. <br /> 3. The chain link fabric and stringer wires shall be 11 gauge diameter metal. <br /> 4. Access gates may be constructed at the site as long as they are secured. <br /> a. Each gate shall be secured with a padlock and chain. <br /> b. The chain links shall be at least 3/8 in diameter. <br /> 5. Posts shall be air driven to minimize contact with soil. <br /> 6. Adequate workers and equipment shall be available to complete the work at a <br /> single site in a single day. <br /> a. Respondent shall notify DTSC at 916-255-6583 of the commencement and <br /> completion of fence construction. <br /> b. Construction shall be completed no later than 30 days from the effective <br /> date of this Order. <br /> c. A letter with photographs of the fence shall be submitted to DTSC no later <br /> than 5 days after construction completion. <br /> 7. Respondent or contractors shall obtain all permits and approvals required prior <br /> to construction. <br /> a. Respondent or contractor shall obtain underground utility clearance and <br /> marking to prevent damage to any nearby underground lines. <br /> b. Respondent shall insure that adequate facilities are available for the <br /> sanitary and hygiene of fence installers, employees working shall not eat in <br /> areas where contaminants have been found. <br />
