Mr. Fredric Clark
September 13, 2013
Page 2
Nonetheless, because the Site still contains contaminants that exceed their respective
human health and environmental screening standards for residential and other sensitive
uses, the following uses for the Site are not suitable until the recommendations of the PEA
have been implemented:
• A residence, including any mobile home or factory built housing, constructed or
installed for use as residential human habitation.
• A hospital for humans.
• A public or private school for persons under 21 years of age.
• A day care center for children.
• A long-term care facility for the elderly, handicapped, or infirm.
• Any other purpose involving residential occupancy on a 24-hour basis.
Additionally, soil should not be disturbed without prior approval from DTSC.
DTSC does not plan to conduct additional cleanup activities using public funds. Instead,
DTSC expects the current owner and/or any future owner of the Site to maintain the Site
and implement the recommendations of the PEA.
If additional information is needed concerning this property, please contact me at
(916) 255-3625 or McKinley.Lewis@dtsc.ca.gov. Information about the Site can also be
found in our database EnviroStor accessible from our website http://dtsc.ca.gov/database/.
Sincerely,
McK y Lewis '
Project Manager
Cleanup Program —Sacramento Office
cc: Mr. Robert Gordon
1721 Washington Avenue
Escondido, California 92027
Mr. William Beckman, P.E., Chief
National Priorities List Unit
Cleanup Program — Sacramento Office
Department of Toxic Substances Control
8800 Cal Center Drive
Sacramento, California 95826
