hn KLEINFELDER
6 ASSUMPTIONS AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to advance the
soil boring and/or geoprobes at the proposed locations. If the fieldequipment cannot be
positioned, alternative locations or sampling methods should be investigated If alternative
drilling methods or concrete cutting are required, additional costs may be incurred.
• No respiratory protection or shoring will be necessary.
• Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the
client. Soil cuttings are not anticipated to be generated. Water generated from
development and/or purging the wells will be placed in 55-gallon drums and left on site.
Disposal or remediation options for the water can be assessed once analytical results have
been received. Kleinfelder can assist the client with the disposal of water if necessary.
• The client will be responsible for locating all underground utilities and other subsurface
structures that could interfere with drilling operations or be damaged during drilling.
Failure to locate such lines or structures will be the sole responsibility of the client.
i
Underground Services Alert (USA) at 1-800-642-2444 provides this service free of charge
for major utility lines. Kleinfelder can make contact with USA for a site visit, if requested.
• Groundwater is anticipated at a depth of approximately 10 to 13 feet below ground
surface. If groundwater is encountered at greater or lesser depths, costs will be adjusted
accordingly.
• The proposed scope of work and cost estimate is based on the previously described scope
of work. If additional services are deemed necessary, the client will be notified
immediately.
I ,
r
L
24-220176-FO1/CR43-8 (1994) Page 12 of 13 June 3, 1994
Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc.
