With the following clarifications made to me by Dana Booth, <br /> project geologist for Kleinfelder, the work plan is acceptable. <br /> The monitoring well (MW-1) and extraction well (EW-1) to be installed will not <br /> be sampled until 48 hours after well development. Water level measurements <br /> will be taken in MW-1, EW-1 , and the three Mobil Oil Company wells on the <br /> Leprino property just prior to sampling MW-1 and EW-1 . These five wells will <br /> all be surveyed to a common datum point and the ground water flow direction <br /> determined from the data. The size of the screen perforations on EW-1 will be <br /> 0.010 inches as stated on page 4 of the text, not 0.020 inches as stated on <br /> page B-3 of Appendix B. <br /> As requested in my 11 June 1992 letter, Leprino was to submit with the work <br /> plan the results of samples taken from the stockpiled soils, the proposed <br /> method of disposal or treatment of these soils, and a time schedule for this <br /> work. The work plan did not discuss these items. Also in my 11 June letter I <br /> requested Leprino's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan <br /> by 9 July 1992. We have not received this plan. Please submit the outstand- <br /> ing items by 28 August 1992. <br /> Please begin installation of MW-1 and EW-1 as soon as possible and inform me <br /> at least 48 hours before field work takes place in case I wish to observe <br /> procedures or split samples.
