Mr. Robert Garcia • -3- 40 1 June 2011
Central Valley Water Board staff concur with the request in the Semi Annual Report to
evaluate the Site for closure. Although we need four groundwater monitoring events to
evaluate the potential for rebound, a no further action request report will identify whether the
site is eligible for closure once you complete the groundwater monitoring for rebound. By
1 August 2011, Leprino should submit a no further action request report that includes the
following information:
Complete Site history and current Site conditions
Summary of all remedial actions
• Site geology and hydrogeology
Sensitive Receptor survey including water supply wells and surface water
• Map showing the location of all water supply wells used for municipal, domestic,
agriculture, industrial, and other uses within 2,000 feet of the Site
Site maps showing approximate location of original release, former tank location,
excavation area, soil sample locations, all active and abandoned monitoring wells,
groundwater elevation contours, buildings, and any nearby surface water
Boring logs for all wells and soil borings
Volume and fate of excavated soil
• Table summarizing all groundwater and soil monitoring data
• Discuss concentration and mass changes over time, and current concentrations of
contaminants remaining in groundwater
• Isoconcentration contour maps of contaminants of concern
Summary of the remedial methods used and the calculated zone of capture
• Estimate of the mass of contamination remaining in soil, groundwater and soil vapor
If you have any questions regarding this letter, you may contact me at (916) 464-4819 or
kshe/lto'n(cDwaaterboards.ca.gov.
KRISTI SHELTON, P.E.
Water Resources Control Engineer
Aboveground Tanks Cleanup Unit
cc: Ms. Lori Duncan, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Reed Azevedo, Leprino Foods Company, Tracy
Mr. Brendan Shine, Tetra Tech GEO, Westminster, Colorado
