MONITORING AND REPOROG PROGRAM NO. R5-2007-0811 • -2 -
LEPRINO FOODS COMPANY
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
The groundwater monitoring program for the 16 monitoring wells (all except those fitted
with product skimming pumps, MW-7, and RW-4A) and any wells installed subsequent
to the issuance of this MRP, shall follow the schedule below. Monitoring wells with free
phase petroleum product or visible sheen shall be monitored, at a minimum, for product
thickness and depth to water. Monitoring wells that have petroleum product skimming
pumps installed shall only be monitored for amount of hydrocarbons recovered on a
weekly basis. If product is found in monitoring wells, product removal shall occur until
no measurable product remains in the well. The volume of extracted groundwater also
shall be provided in quarterly monitoring reports. Sample collection and analysis shall
follow standard Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protocol.
SAMPLING FREQUENCY
Quarterly Semi-annually
Wells New Wells MW-22, MW-5, MW-6, MW-82, MW-92,
MW-102, MW-11, MW-14A, MW-162,
MW-17, MW-18, MW-19,
RW-1, RW-2, RW-32, RW-5A2
Wells shall be sampled semi-annually during the first and third quarters.
2 Wells shall be monitored for groundwater levels only.
Constituents EPA Analytical Maximum Practical
Method Quantitation Limit
(pg/1),
Depth to Groundwater --- ---
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel 8015M 50
For nondetectable results. All concentrations between the Method Detection Limit and the Practical
Quantitation Limit shall be reported as trace.
RECOVERY SYSTEM MONITORING
Extraction wells EW-2 and EW-3 are pumping groundwater for gradient control and are
recovering product. Monitoring wells MW-3, MW-4, RW-6 and RW-7 are recovering
product. The Discharger shall maintain recovery system data sheets, which shall
include the information listed below.
• Date and time of measurement;
• Rate of the product/groundwater extraction [gallons per minute (gpm)],
• Appearance and/or odor of extracted water;
• Cumulative volume of groundwater/product extracted (if measurable);
0 Volume of product recovered (if measurable);
