•
4.0 EVIPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE
The schedule for implementation of this plan is presented in Figure 5. The system will be
operated continuously to attain cleanup goals; however, because of uncertainties associated with
hydrocarbon remediation, the schedule reflects only two years of operation. As necessary, the
schedule will evaluated at that time to reflect future changes in site conditions.
Modifications to the MRP will be recommended as necessary to reflect changes in site conditions
and remediation systems. As portions of the site reach remediation goals, LFC will petition the
RWQCB for deactivation of the appropriate remediation system. Upon achievement of all
remediation goals, LFC will petition the RWQCB for a no-further-action determination for the
site.
Recovery and gradient control using the existing remediation system will be ongoing. The
product level in well RW-5A will be measured as part of the quarterly sampling event.
Assuming that product recovery is feasible in this well, product specific recovery equipment will
be installed in wells RW-5A and MW-4 approximately one month after Cleanup Plan approval.
After approximately two months, installation of the new extraction and monitoring/product
recovery wells will be initiated. This work is anticipated to require less than one month to
complete. The recovery systems in these wells are expected to operate continuously after
installation.
To allow time for the remediation systems to equilibrate and to account for enhanced capture
provided by the new extraction well, Installation of the oxygen injection system will take place
approximately one year after Cleanup Plan approval. It will be initiated downgradient of well
RW-4A (if it is required in this part of the plant), followed by installation at locations
downgradient of the central plant.
G'eoTrans
8
