IV. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the analytical results from the tank removals for T1 and T2, AEMC recommends <br /> no further work and permanent closure for these <br /> • AEMC recommends that a Phase III Workplan be written to further excavate around the <br /> localized area at the fill pipe end of T3 The soil will be excavated and screened based on <br /> visual indications of contamination and/or photoionzzation detector readings <br /> • Confirmation samples will be taken and analyzed for TPH-D to show that the <br /> contaminated soils have been excavated The contaminated soil will be stockpiled on <br /> Visqueen and covered The excavation will be left open for San Joaquin County <br /> • inspection, and backfilled upon their approval The amount of soil to be excavated is <br /> unknown, but AEMC believes the contamination is localized around soil borings B-3 <br /> and B-4, and limited in depth between 10 to 20 feet bgs <br /> •i <br /> After the affected volume of soil is determined by excavation, the most cost effective <br /> remediation alternative will be proposed <br /> • <br /> • <br />• <br /> • <br /> r2hld 08(m1-4) Page 12 <br /> [Nv 'NYn,unrVn4wltiY CtlR+ <br />
