I. INTRODUCTION <br /> This Phase II Investigation and Evaluation Report is prepared by American Environmental <br /> Management Corporation (AEMC) for Homestead Land Development Corporation <br /> (HLDC) to describe the investigative activities conducted at 27383 South MacArthur Drive <br /> • <br /> in Tracy, California, 18 and 24 June 1991 The property, called Glenbnar Estates, is <br /> located in the City of Tracy, southwest of the intersection of Valpico Road and MacArthur <br /> Drive Figure 1 illustrates the site location <br /> • <br /> The purpose of this Phase II Report is to discuss the results of the site characterization <br /> investigation Presented in this report is a site history and a description of the site activities <br /> • after the removal of the three underground storage tanks (USTs) <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> •, The site is currently being used for private residences A generalized plan containing some <br /> of the site features is illustrated in Figure 2 The site, Pereirra Bros Farm, was originally <br /> an apricot orchard/farm dating back to 1916 The subject property was sold to Homestead <br /> Land Development Company about five years ago The three USTs on the site were used <br /> to fuel a small trucking operation located on the property UST closure operations at the <br /> site commenced on 15 and 16 November 1990 <br /> • <br /> Two of the three USTs (identified as T1 and T2) were clustered in one excavation <br /> Analytical results from soil samples collected at the base of each tank have shown no <br /> detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons or petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> • constituents <br /> Soil samples collected from the fill pipe end of the third UST (identifed as T3) indicated <br />• hydrocarbon contamination in a localized area at the fill pipe end of the tank <br /> 0 <br /> Md-09(m]4) Page I <br /> AMr=RICA <br />
