(GeoAudit) has drilled four soil borings at
the subject site. The borings were located near the underground storage tanks (UST's). The
location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2.
BACKGROUND
It is our understanding that three (3) UST's are located on the property; two 12,000-gallon
unleaded tanks and one 12,000-gallon diesel tank. The tanks are used to fuel municipal
vehicles via four dispensers located on two pumping islands. One of the unleaded tanks was
used to store leaded gasoline in the past. The area surrounding the fueling islands is mostly
asphalt surfaced parking area.
It is the intention of the City of Stockton to install two new UST's near the fueling islands
before removing the old tanks. In this way, fueling operation may continue uninterrupted.
The City of Stockton requested the drilling of four (4) soil borings near the pump island.
The purpose of this investigation was to assess if petroleum hydrocarbons are present so that
the new tanks will not be disturbed if remediation is required after the removal of the old
tanks. The number and locations of the borings were specified by representatives of the City
of Stockton.
o.dla,vA.&S.Mm IK
Full Spectrum Environmental Services • Hydrogeolocgy
