1
2.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this report is to present analytical data collected during the March 24,
2004 quarterly sampling event. Sample collection methodology, laboratory analytical
methods, analytical data and an evaluation of the data are described in subsequent
' sections of this report. In addition to providing this information, a request for case
closure has also been incorporated into this document.
II
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
1
The following tasks were conducted in order to meet the objectives of this phase of the
' investigation at this site:
• Collect ground water elevation data accurate to 0.01 feet.
• Purge and sample five ground water monitoring wells to obtain representative
samples on March 24, 2004.
' • Collected ground water samples from the North Well and South Well on May 27,
2004.
M • Submit allound water samples to a California State certified analytical
 p Yt
laboratory for analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents.
• Install a new domestic water supply well to replace the South Well.
' • Abandon the South Well in accordance with San Joaquin and California water
well standards.
1 . Prepare this report summarizing the methodology and analytical data obtained and
make appropriate recommendations.
' • Prepare case closure request documentation and incorporate into this report.
' 4.0 GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
' On March 24, 2004, monitoring wells MW-1A, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-9 were
purged and sampled. On May 27, 2004, the North Well and South Well were sampled.
. Prior to purging, each monitoring well was measured for depth to water and total depth,
' accurate to within 0.01 feet. Each well was then purged with a submersible pump until a
American Geological Service, Inc.
CA95DE-029 6
