lie The sample collected from rn
p omtormg well MW-6 indicated no changes in the levels of
benzene or toluene which were below the detection limit. Ethyl benzene, xylenes and
gasoline levels increased slightly as compared with the results of the previous sampling
' event. The changes observed in ethyl benzene, total xylene and gasoline levels are not
deemed significant.
' The remaining wells, MW-5, MW-7, MW-9, and the two domestic wells, North Well and
South Well, each indicated non detectable levels for all analyzed constituents. These data
are consistent with data obtained from past quarterly sampling events.
' Analytical laboratory data are summarized in Table 2 below. Laboratory data sheets, the
chain of custody document, and QA/QC data sheets are included in Appendix.
' TABLE 2
Summary of Ground Water Analytical Results,
December 18, 1.998
Analyte
Sample Benzene Toluene Ethyl Total TPH-Gas
' Location (pg/L) (ug/L) Benzene Xylene (mg/L)
OWL) OWL)
MW-1A 420 10.4 36 300 8.4
MW-5 ND ND ND ND ND
MW-6 ND ND 0.8 2.0 0.2
MW-7 ND ND ND ND ND
MW-9 ND ND ND ND ND
North Well ND ND ND ND ND
South Well ND ND ND ND ND
ND=Not detected above the laboratory detection limit.
5.3 Ground Water Gradient
A ground water gradient map was produced from the data obtained from the December
18, 1998 sampling event (Figure 2). The elevations used in the calculation are
summarized in Table 3. The ground water flow direction was toward the northwest
during this sampling event. This gradient and flow direction is consistent with previous
monitoring events.
'
CA95DE-029 American Geological Services, Inc.
9
