Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> At the request of Mel Bokides Petroleum,Inc.,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. has prepared the <br /> enclosed work plan for 501 W. Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California. <br /> Based on the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) Standards For Well <br /> Construction and Destruction and because of soil/water contamination at the site due to the release <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons from the underground storage tank, "the well shall be destroyed by <br /> removing all material within the original borehole"; selected monitoring well abandonments will <br /> follow the procedures listed in Section 13.17. For the abandonment of wells BMW-4 and vapor well <br /> VW-1, the wells will be sounded for total depth and checked for integrity, any obstruction found in <br /> the well will be removed; and the wells boring will be over-drilled. After well destruction, the <br /> excavated boring will be back filled with neat cement in accordance with Section 13.12.5.
