'The original work plan proposed that soil
borings be advanced to 60 feet bgs . We are proposing to use hollow stem auger techniques, which
should reach the required depth at this site .
Soil borings will be sampled at five foot intervals as prescribed in the March 26, 1999, Work Plan.
Soil borings will be backfilled with mixture of neat cement and approximately 5 % bentonite grout
using tremie methods . Soil cuttings from the borings will be properly analyzed and disposed of along
with stockpiled soil removed from the tank excavation.
A copy of the GR Field Methods and Procedures for hollow stem auger drilling techniques is
attached .
