�1 <br /> Monitoring Well Instllhtion Report - Chevron Service Station #9-3232 <br /> November 20, 1998 <br /> CHEMICAL ANALYTICAL RESULTS <br /> A total of 15 soil samples From the bot rags, one composite soil sample from the di ill cuttings, and <br /> three groundwater samples were submitted under chain-of-custody for chemical analysis Analysis <br /> were pei formed by Sequoia Analytical of Sacramento (FLAP #11624) and Redwood City, <br /> California (FLAP #11210) Copies of the Iaboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms are <br /> included in Appendix E Soil chemical analytical data are summarized in Table 1, and <br /> gioundwater chemical analytical data are summarized in Table 2 <br /> Chemical Analytical Procedui es <br /> Selected soil and groundwater samples were analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and MTBE by DHS Luft <br /> Groundwater ,ample,, were also analyzed for the gasoline additives ethanol, tertiaty butyl alcohol <br /> (TBA), MTBE, di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETRE), and tertiary amyl <br /> methyl ether (TAME) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260 The stockpile <br /> soil sample was analyzed for TPI-Ig and BTEX <br /> Soil Analytical Results <br /> MTBE concentrations were not detected in any of the soil samples analyzed Petioleum <br /> hydrocai bons were not detected in samples from boring MW-1 TPHg and benzene were detected <br /> in four of the 15 soil samples analyzed from boiings MW-2 and MW-3 TPHg concentrations <br /> ranged from 2 94 to 593 ppm The highest concentration of TPHg were detected in the soil <br /> sample collected from well bol mg MW-2 at a sample depth of 50 5 feet bgs Benzene <br /> concentrations were also detected in the same four soil samples at concentiations ranging from <br /> 0 184 to 6 44 ppm The highest benzene concentration was detected in the soil Sample collected <br /> fiom well boring MW-2 at 50 5 feet bgs <br /> Groundwater Analytical Results <br /> Groundwater samples from wells MW-1 thiough MW-3 contained elevated TPHg and benzene <br /> concentrations TPHg ranged in concentrations between 1,100(MW-1)and 120,000 (MW-2)ppb <br /> Benzene was detected at concentiations ranging between 13 (MW-1) and 23,000 (MW-2) ppb <br /> MTBE concentrations were not detected in any of three groundwater samples The gasoline <br /> additives ethanol, TBA, DIPS, ETRE, or TAME were not detected in the groundwater samples <br /> analyzed <br /> • <br /> 34646101-2 4 <br />
