The purpose of this
work is to identify if past releases on an adjacent property have migrated to and impacted
the soil and/or groundwater beneath the subject site.
Background
Groundwater has been reported to be impacted under large portions of the adjacent
property, located at 16777 Howland Avenue, in Lathrop, California (adjacent property).
This adjacent property is currently occupied by J.R. Simplot Company and formerly
owned by Occidental Petroleum Company, a manufacturer of various fertilizers,
pesticides, herbicides, and/or agricultural fumigants. It has been identified that the
adjacent site is regulated under the Resources, Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA),
to perform corrective actions to address past releases at and beneath their property.
Commercial Building Components (CBC), therefore, wants to identify if any of the noted
chemicals, which were released from the adjacent site, have migrated and impacted soil
and/or groundwater beneath the subject site.
Scope of Work
Earth Tech, Inc. will employ WDC Exportation and Wells, a C57-licensed drilling
contractor, to advance up to 7 soil borings at the subject site, utilizing a GeoProbe rig.
The purpose of the borings will be to collect soil and grab-groundwater samples and
submit them for laboratory analyses.
