Nine cone <br /> penetration testing(CPT) borings were advanced to assess soil stratigraphy Adjacent to <br /> each CPT bonng, a second direct-push borehole was advanced to collect groundwater <br /> samples A water well search, performed to identify any potential sensitive receptors near <br /> the site,is also summarized in this report Based on the findings of these site assessment <br /> activities, SECOR proposes a work plan herein for further assessment at the site <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an operating Chevron Service Station located at the southeast comer of Lower <br /> Sacramento Road and Ponce de Leon Avenue in Stockton, California Current station <br /> facilities include a station building, car wash, four product islands under a common canopy, <br /> and three gasoline underground storage tanks in a common excavation The station features <br /> are illustrated in Figure 2 Additional site investigation information pertinent to this <br /> assessment is summarized in Attachment A <br /> ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES AND FINDINGS <br />�h <br /> On August 3, 6, and 7, 2001, a SECOR representative supervised Gregg Drilling & Testing, <br /> Inc (Gregg) of Martinez, California, as they advanced direct push borings at nine locations <br /> (CPT-I through CPT-9) around the site to assess soil stiatigraphy and to collect dis(,iete <br /> groundwater ,amples The CPT Ioc-itions are shown in Figurc 2 Each CPT horing was <br /> /.azul �wli 100 r))Ml '/10 ti(�1 0) 'N /q� 1101f <br />
