Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan
BATTAGLIA PROPERTY
2795 MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of the Ms.Michael Battaglia,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared
the enclosed Phase 11 Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 2795 MacArthur Drive,Tracy,
California(the site).The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1.A plan of the site is illustrated
on Figure 2.
This work plan is prepared as required by PHS-EHD for the procurement of a soil boring permit.The
investigation is being performed to determine if a release has occurred from an underground storage
tank formerly located on the property. It is our understanding that a single approximately 1,000-
gallon UST was removed from the site sometime during the early 1980s. Therefore, the work plan
is prepared in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional Recommendations-Reporting,dated 30
August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(Appendix A-
Reports) for the investigation of UST sites.
2.0. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
The estimated depth to ground water in the vicinity of the site is between 15 to 40 feet below surface
grade(bsg),based on ground water monitoring events at the TracyDefense Depot located 1 mile east
of the property;ground water flow direction is to the northeast.However,flow direction maybe both
locally and seasonably variable.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
AGE proposes to collect soil and discrete ground water samples to determine if petroleum
hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or ground water is present beneath the site. The preliminary phase
lI assessment will consist of the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil sample collection and analysis;
• In-situ ground water sample collection and analysis;
• Report preparation.
The preliminary site assessment tasks are discussed below.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
