Monitoring well abandonment was
approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) on September 7, 2001 in a
conversation between Mr. Harlin Knoll with SJCPHS and Clinton Harms with SECOR.
Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were abandoned on September 25, 2001 in
accordance with San Joaquin County requirements and with Bulletin 74-90: California Well
Standards, California Department of Water Resources, June 1991. West Hazmat Drilling of
Rancho Cordova, California, pressure grouted each of the monitoring wells. Upon completion of
pressure grouting, each well was over-drilled to a depth of approximately four feet below ground
surface. The resulting borings were then backfilled to grade with cement grout.
A SECOR representative and Mr. Harlin Knoll of SJCPHS were onsite to observe the well
abandonment activities.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call us at (916) 861-0400.
Sincerely,
SECOR International Incorporated
s
Clinton Harms QO9\k E ESS
Project Scientist QJS4,^LAJ -IosT
cc N0.C 058399
t L Exp.)
usty enkosky, P s
CMLN_
L
Senior Engineer Of CAUtiP
Attachments: Figure 1 —Site Map
cc: Ms. Kateri Luka, ARCO
3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916.861.0400 916.861.0430 Fax www.secor.com
