Box 2570, PAC-1291 <br /> Suite 650 <br /> Los Angeles, California 90051-0570 <br /> Subject: Executive Summary of Preacquistion Environmental <br /> Assessment Work Plan for Evaluation of Soil and Ground- <br /> Water Contamination at Proposed ARCO Station, Northeast <br /> Corner of Main Street and Indiana Street, Woodbridge, <br /> California. <br /> Mr. Winsor: <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO) , Applied <br /> GeoSystems has prepared this Preacquistion Environmental <br /> Assessment Work Plan for the evaluation of possible soil and <br /> ground-water contamination at a proposed ARCO Station located at <br /> the Northeast Corner of Main Street and Indiana Street in <br /> Woodbridge, California. Information supplied to Applied <br /> GeoSystems by ARCO indicate that the site is presently a vacant <br /> lot but may have previously been used for a a small sevice <br /> station and automotive garage. No underground storage tanks are <br /> presently known to exist at the site. <br /> Specific tasks associated with the proposed investigation include <br /> a soil-vapor survey; an evaluation of the information acquired <br /> from the soil-vapor survey to select soil boring and ground-water <br /> monitoring well locations; drilling three soil borings; <br /> constructing 4-inch-inner-diameter monitoring wells in the <br /> borings; developing the wells and sampling ground water from <br /> them; analyzing selected soil and ground-water samples; <br /> evaluating the ground-water gradient across the site; and <br /> preparing a report documenting our procedures, methodology, <br /> results of analyses, and, if necessary, recommendations for <br /> further work. <br /> r <br />.r <br />
