If results of the soil vapor probe indicate <br /> hydrocarbon levels are below its detection limit, the ground- <br /> water monitoring wells will be constructed in locations onsite to <br /> evaluate and monitor ground-water quality in the inferred <br /> upgradient and downgradient direction frm the- proposed pump <br /> r islands and underground gasoline-storage tanks, at the locations <br /> shown on Plate P-3 . The direction of ground-water flow in this <br /> area is inferred to be east to the Mokelumne River. <br /> SAFETY PLAN <br /> tr Field work will be performed at the site by Applied GeoSystems, <br /> on behalf of ARCO . in_accordance with a site safety plan developed <br /> for the site by Applied GeoSystems. This plan will describe-. the <br /> basic safety requirements for the subsurface investigation and <br /> the drilling of soil borings at the work site. The Site Safety <br /> Plan is applicable to personnel of Applied GeoSystems and to <br /> subcontractors of Applied GeoSystems. The Applied GeoSystems <br /> geologist will be the Site Safety Officer onsite. Personnel at <br /> the site will be briefed on the contents of the Site Safety Plan <br /> before work begins.
