Soil
samples selected for chemical analysis will include the sample
46 taken from immediately above the ground-water surface and the
sample with the highest OVM reading. Collected from each boring.
4. Each sample collected will be quickly sealed with aluminum foil,
plastic caps, and tape. The samples will be labeled and placed
in iced storage for transport to the analytical laboratory for
testing. Chain of Custody Records will be initiated by the
geologist in the field and will accompany the samples to the
laboratory. Copies of these records will be presented in our
CW report. An example of a Chain of Custody Record is included in
the Appendix to this Work Plan. n
1
Cuttings generated during drilling will be stockpiled onsite in
segregated piles on plastic sheeting and they also will be
covered with plastic. This soil will be segregated into
stockpiles based on OVA readings. Disposal of the soil will'.
remain the responsibility of ARCO.
