To further investigate soil conditions, Geo-Phase <br /> Environmental Inc. recently installed a soil boring to groundwater at a point about 2 feet south of <br /> the edge of the tank pit. This work was documented in a report entitled Report — Soil and <br /> Groundwater Investigation, dated May 9, 2003. The boring reached a total depth of 45 feet and <br /> the groundwater surface was estimated to lie about 38 feet below grade. A groundwater sample <br /> and two soil samples were submitted for laboratory analysis.
