3.0 SITE.HISTORY <br /> 3.1 Oral and Written History 1990 Photo rah Scale: One inch = 200 feet <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Assessor's In the 1990 photograph, the site and the <br /> Office, the Traina Property occupies APN 253- surrounding areas appear the same. The <br /> 210-15. The present owners of the property are irrigation runoff collection ponds in the northeast <br /> listed in the assessors office records as the Olivia corner of the site are obscured by vegetation that <br /> Traina Estate and Joan Barnes. The Traina- has grown around the ponds. The southern most <br /> Barnes Farms operates an active apricot orchard _ of the two larger buildings, visible in the 1963 <br /> on the Site. HLA personnel G did not conduct a and 1975 photographs, is absent. The cultivated title search as part of this investigation. land south of the Site is planted. The former <br /> meandering course of the stream has been <br /> 3.2 Aerial Photograph Review straightened. <br /> Historical and current land uses of the Site and <br /> adjacent areas were reviewed by examining the <br /> changing configuration of the land in available <br /> aerial photographs. Aerial photographs dated <br /> 1963, 1975, and 1990 were reviewed. The <br /> photographs were obtained from <br /> Geonex-Cartwright Aerial Surveys, Sacramento, <br /> California. The following features were noted: <br /> 1963 Photograph-Scale: One inch = 167 feet <br /> In the 1963 photograph, an orchard occupies <br /> nearly the entire Site. The only buildings present <br /> occur near the site's southeast corner along the <br /> dirt road bounding the site on the south. Two . <br /> larger buildings, two probable residences, and <br /> four smaller out buildings are present. A small <br /> irrigation runoff pond occurs in the site's <br /> northeast corner along the dirt road bounding the <br /> site on the east. Orchards are present on adjacent <br /> properties to the north, east, and west of the site. <br /> A gravel quarry occurs across MacArthur Drive <br /> on the northwest. An unplanted cultivated field <br /> and an unnamed meandering ephemeral stream <br /> bound the site on the south.. <br /> 1975 Photograph Scale: One inch =. 200 feet <br /> In the 1975 photograph, the site and the <br /> surrounding areas appear the same. A second <br /> irrigation runoff collection pond is present at the <br /> northeast corner of the Site.
