Section 1
Introduction and Background
1.1 INTRODUCTION
The Main Stone Property area consists of approximately 1,260 acres of land located east and
southeast of Highway 5 and west of the San Joaquin River(Figure 1). The purpose of this report
is to propose a hydrogeologic investigation of potential effluent storage and disposal for the site
and to propose a groundwater monitoring network. It is intended that the hydrogeologic
investigation will include an assessment of background groundwater quality within the area and
provide a sufficient number of wells to monitor potential impacts associated with future potential
wastewater effluent storage and/or disposal. The following sections summarize site soils,
geology, and describe the methods and materials proposed to investigate the site hydrogeology
and groundwater quality and for the construction of groundwater monitoring wells, consistent
with State and County well standards.
1.2 RELEVANT SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
The following documents were reviewed in the preparation of this workplan:
• ENGEO,Inc.
