River. Walker Slough flows generally toward the west and passes within approximately
7,000 feet south of the Site before draining into the San Joaquin River.
The San Joaquin River and several of its major tributaries namely, the Stanislaus, Calaveras,
and Mokelumne rivers drain the Eastern San Joaquin Sub-basin. The San Joaquin River flows
north into the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta and discharges into San Francisco Bay
(DWR, 2003).
1.6. Current Site Status
On behalf of Sara Lee, PSC has continued discussions with the responsible parties of the
neighboring sites to collaborate efforts in investigation and corrective action for the numerous
releases in the approximate four-acre area around West Charter Way and South Lincoln
Street. These discussions are focused on the submitted application for four of the various
' open UST sites to into the California UST Fund Commingled Plume Account (CPA).
Currently, the Commingled Plume Verification Report is in review by the State Water
Resources Control Board (SWRCB).
The CVRWQCB requested that the monitoring wells continue to be monitored on a semi-
annual basis during the second and fourth quarters in a letter dated March 17, 2010. The letter
' also stated that since the Site's application into the CPA is in review that the board is directing
all subsequent activities to be coordinated through a single point of contact. Since PSC is not
the point of contact, the subsequent activities will not be coordinated or reported by PSC.
1
' Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
First Quarter-January 2010
Prepared For:Sara Lee Bakery Group,Inc.
