TPH-eand BTEX
TPH-g and some or all of the BTEX constituents were reported among the samples. The
TPH-g concentrations ranged from 680 micrograms per cubic meter (Pg/ru ) in sample SG-2
' to 5,500 Pg/m3 in sample SG-3. The highest reported concentrations for each of the BTEX
constituents were from sample SG-3.
Fuel Oxveenates and Additives
There were no reported concentrations for any of the fuel oxygenates (MTBE, TBA, DIPE,
ETBE, or TAME) or the fuel additives (1,2-DBA or 1,2-DCA) among the samples.
Natural Gases
Oxygen was reported in percent values and the reported concentrations ranged from 13
percent in samples SG-2 and SG-5 to 20 percent in sample SG-7.
Carbon dioxide was reported in percent values and the reported concentrations ranged from
1.4 percent in sample SG-7 to 9.0 percent in sample SG-2.
Methane was reported in percent values and the only reported concentration was at 0.00057
percent in sample SG-3.
1 2.6 Vapor Intrusion Evaluation
PSC evaluated the risk to human health and the environment of the vapor intrusion pathway
by comparing the detected analytical results to the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality
Control Board (SFBRWQCB) Residential Environmental Screening Levels (ESLs) for
shallow soil gas (Screening for Environmental Concerns at Sites with Contaminated Soil and
Groundwater, Summary Tier 1 Lookup Tables, Table E, May 2008).
None of the reported concentrations for TPH-g, BTEX, fuel oxygenates, or fuel additives
exceeded the SFBRWQCB ESLs for Residential Shallow Soil Gas. Therefore, the risk of soil
vapor intrusion does not exist for the facility.
' Vapor Invision Survey
Soil Gas Ssmpling Report
' Prepense For:Sara Lee Bakery .
