4 <br /> •1 <br /> Soil and Groundwater Investigation Page 5 <br /> Former Dolly Madison Facility Project No 2002-1426-02 <br /> October 27, 2000 <br /> Four groundwater samples were analyzed from boring B-4/CPT-1 and three groundwater <br /> samples were analyzed from boring B-5/CPT-2 TPHG was detected in the groundwater <br /> sample collected from B-4/CPT-1 67 feet bgs at a concentration of 0 057 mg/L Benzene <br /> was detected in groundwater samples collected from 67, 82, and 116 feet bgs in boring B- <br /> 4/CPT-1 at concentrations between 10 µg/L and 16 µg/L TPHG, benzene, toluene, and <br /> xylenes were detected in the sample collected from 85 feet bgs in boring B-5/CPT-2 <br /> Benzene was also detected in the sample from 105 feet bgs at a concentration of 1 5 <br /> µg/L 1,2 DCA was detected in samples collected from 40 and 85 feet bgs in boring B- <br /> 5/CPT-2 at concentrations of 2 3 and 20 µg/L, respectively The groundwater sample <br /> collected from 85 feet bgs in boring B-5/CPT-2 was collected from a sand and gravel <br /> layer that may be laterally continuous offsite The increase in concentrations of TPHG, <br /> benzene, toluene, and xylenes at this depth may indicate that petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> have migrated beneath the site at this depth from an offsite source The analytical results <br /> for groundwater samples collected during this investigation are presented in Table 2 and <br /> copies of the laboratory certified analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation <br /> are located in Appendix C <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> .
