' IT Corporation 3939 Cambridge Road�hrte 220: Cameron Park, CA 956007 Tel 530 676 6884 r r Fax 530 676 6885 te ;group- -s= A hlernher of rhe it(,roup rr c ' July 17, 2000 Project 792759 01 Mr Travis Bryant Interstate Brands Corporation ' 12 East Armour Boulevard Kansas City, Missouri 64111 Re Second Quarter 2000 Status Report for the Former Dolly Madison Facility, Located ' at 1426 South Lincoln Street, Stockton, California ' Dear Mr Bryant At the request of Interstate Brands Corporation (IBC), IT Corporation (TT) has prepared this status report on the groundwater monitoring work conducted at the subject site (see Figure ' 1)during the second quarter 2000 Groundwater monitoring consists of measuring depths to groundwater and collecting groundwater samples from the wells for subjective and laboratory analyses IT previously conducted an environmental investigation and currently performs quarterly groundwater monitoring at the subject site BACKGROUND The site is located approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of Charter Way and ' Lincoln Street in Stockton, California On July 29, 1988, SEMCO of Modesto, California, observed the removal of a 1,000-gallon underground storage tank (UST) ' Based on analytical results of soil samples collected from beneath the former UST, residual hydrocarbons were present. Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) were detected at a concentration of 95 parts per million Benzene, total petroleum ' hydrocarbons as diesel, kerosene, and motor oil were below laboratory detection limits The approximate former UST location relative to site structures is shown on Figure 2 ' In the vicinity of the subject property there are 5 current or former UST facilities a former ARCO Service Station, a Chevron Service Station, a Texaco Service Station, The Transmission Shop, and a former Colombo Bakery Based on data collected from ' subsurface investigations performed at the former ARCO Service Station, the Chevron Station, The Transmission Shop, and the Texaco Service Station (located at the corners of Charter Way and Lincoln Street), residual and dissolved hydrocarbons have been detected ' beneath these facilities, and a commingled plume exists beneath Charter Way and Lincoln .
