Linne Rd.
Tracy, CA., 95736
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) has reviewed the
"Excavation Remediation Report" and the"Well Destruction Work Plan" submitted on December 11, 1998
by Advanced Environmental Concepts Inc., and has the following comments.
PHS-EHD concurs with the findings and recommendations included in the report that the over-excavation
activities at the above referenced site have successfully mitigated the petroleum impact to the soil and
groundwater. Repeated soil and groundwater sampling events have verified that the Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons as Gasoline, Diesel and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene are not present in
confirmation samples at-.approved laboratory detection limits. PHS-EHD also agrees that further sampling
is not required and that the site qualifies for closure.
Prior to issuing the official"No Further Investigation" letter, the three monitoring wells still on site will have
to be destroyed under a,permit issued from PHS-EHD. The"Well Destruction Work Plan' is approved as
submitted and the permit has been issued. A tentative appointment has been scheduled for December
21,1998 to destroy the wells. Please confirm this date and time with Mr..lnfurna by 8 am December 21,
1998.
is
Thank you for your voluntary cooperation during this farm underground storage tank investigation and .
cleanup.
You may contact Michael Infuma, Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist, at(209) 468-3454
for any questions you may have and to schedule your Field inspections.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
