Advanced
GeoEnvironmental , Inc .
07 August 2014
AGE Project No. 14-3190
Mr. Johnny Yoakum
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Subject: Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan
AMERON - TRACY
10100 Linne Road, Tracy, California
Dear Mr. Yoakum:
Atthe request of LTE Environmental, Inc, (LTE)on behalf of NOV Ameron, property owner
of 10100 Linne Road, Tracy, CA,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared
this Phase 11 Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 10100 Linne Road,
Tracy, CA (hereafter referred to as subject property or property). The location of the site
and a plan of the site are illustrated in the attached figures.
This work plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJCEHD) for procurement of a Drilling Permit. A Well and Boring Permit
Application, Master File Record (MFR) and associated fees are attached. Upon SJCEHD
approval of the permit package, AGE would like to schedule field activities for 20 August
2014.
SCOPE OF WORK
The investigation is being performed to determine if the shallow subsurface beneath the
property has been impacted by form (mineral) oil application activities. Following pre-
fieldwork activities (including performance of a geophysical survey, and marking boring
locations and notification of Underground Service Alert), a total of ten (10)soil borings will
be advanced for collection of soil samples at the site. The soil borings will be advanced
using a GeoProbe® or PowerProbe(D direct-push unit equipped with 1.25-inch probing
rods. The soil and fill material at each boring will be continuously sampled from ground
surface until no evidence of form (mineral) oil staining is evident in the soil column
(estimated to be approximately 5 feet below ground surface [bgs]). The LTE geologist will
evaluate the soil cores for evidence of impacts from form oil or other contaminants. The
organic vapor concentrations of each sample headspace will be measured using a Min-
Rae 2000 photo-ionization detector (PID) calibrated to 100 parts per million (ppm)
837 Shaw Road•Stockton,CA 95215
Telephone(209)467-1006•Fax(209)467-1118
